Ice Dam Repair and Restoration

Ice damming and ice build-up in gutters are a concern in cold climates like New England especially when there is consistent and heavy snowfall or extended periods of very cold weather. Ice dams in one’s gutter will not always lead to water damage inside the building, but if there is enough separation between the shingles or there is insufficient ice and water shield under the shingles on the roof, the melted water will work it’s way into the house and often cause water damage on exterior walls, ceilings and flooring.

On Time and Prevented Further Damage

"I must say that your company has been truly outstanding to deal with in every respect. Everything you guys promised to do was explained thoroughly, installed on time and has proved to be entirely effective at preventing further damage to our home. We are really appreciative. Thanks you, Enviro Clean! I hope we never have cause for emergency interventions of this type again, but if we do, you'll be the first company we call."

If your roof and gutter are covered in heavy snow and ice, we recommend having the snow removed and making every effort to remove the ice. Be aware ice removal can cause damage to roofing material.

If you find water damage inside as the result of ice damming, or you are concerned and would like your property inspected with infrared thermal imagery and moisture meters, please don’t hesitate to contact Enviro Clean Restoration and we will be happy to help!

Signs you may have ice damming:

1. History - you have had ice dams in the past.

2. You see ice and icicles on the edges of your roof and gutter.

3. You see ice coming through your soffit or siding.

4. Ice is creeping its way up your roof.

5. You see water dripping inside around the ceiling, walls, windows, door jams, or puddles on the floor.
